In autumn 2020, Peek & Cloppenburg, a family owned, independent fashion retailer and a market leader in the upmarket clothing segment throughout Europe, will open its first department store in Estonia at the Porto Franco. The Peek & Cloppenburg range covers fashion for any occasion – from casual and business clothing up to evening wear.

Due to Peek & Cloppenburg’s presence in the Baltic States the fashion retailer is acutely aware of the strong demand for high quality fashion in this region. “We see great potential in the Baltic market for the future and therefore it was natural to intensify our activities here,” says Paul Pörtner, Director Retail Management at Peek & Cloppenburg. “We are very pleased that we have developed successfully since our start in the Baltic States and look forward to opening our first store in Estonia. We are convinced that our highly varied product range will enrich the Porto Franco Centre”.

“Peek & Cloppenburg, the leading German chain of fashion department stores, has been a frontrunner in the field of fashion since 1900/1901 –, Peek & Cloppenburg will be one of the main retail anchor tenants at the Porto Franco” said Rauno Teder, Chairman of the Board of Porto Franco. “Peek & Cloppenburg is such a well-known chain of department stores that there is probably no need to introduce it to fashion gourmands, I can, however, state that their department stores are undoubtedly characterised by an inspiring environment, well-known and fashionable brands, and a wide selection for any occasion. Characteristically to Peek & Cloppenburg, the selection of the Estonian department store will range from high-quality own brands to high quality fashion brands, always including the newest trend products and modern classics. The Estonian department store will undoubtedly bring new brands to our market which have not been represented in the Estonian market so far.”

The Estonian department store of Peek & Cloppenburg in the main atrium of Porto Franco will be built through two floors, ground floor and 1st floor, in the size of approximately 3,600 m2. The department store will be offering a wide selection of the best brands and designer clothing for any taste and any occasion. Personal fashion advice services will certainly be provided. The diverse portfolio of brands includes famous designer brands, as well as own brands of the same wide selection and high quality. Peek & Cloppenburg is a good match for the retail concept of Porto Franco: approximately 32,000 m2 of Porto Franco retail is focused on quality brands and stores. Porto Franco will house several international brands and fashion concepts which are not yet represented in Estonia, as well as stores of Estonian fashion designers.

Peek & Cloppenburg is a family owned, independent fashion retailer and a market leader in the upmarket clothing segment with about 16,000 associates and more than 140 stores in 15 countries throughout Europe.
